Experienced Conveyor Technician

The development of our experienced Conveyor Technicians is vital for our workforce stability and succession planning. As such, we recognise they have obtained valuable skills and knowledge throughout their Conveyor Technician career. Therefore, our training solution is devised to have the opportunity to have Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) where applicable and be up-skilled individually, based on the identified learning gaps for each unit of competency with the aim of completing Certificate III in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing).

In order to ensure all experienced workers are refreshed in Fenner Dunlop’s splicing requirements and applications, they are required to attend a one week Block Release course in Melbourne’s Fabric Ply factory.

Mechanical Technician Program

At Fenner Dunlop, we believe mechanical services play a big part in ensuring conveyor efficiency and as such, our Mechanical Technicians are trained in the following areas:

  • Conveyor cleaner installations.
  • Inspections and servicing.
  • Roller installation and change-outs.
  • Conveyor system aligning and tracking.
  • Condition monitoring and carry-back testing.
  • Load point design checks and impact bed installations.
